Physical Demands

Light physical activity consistent with office work. Long hours sitting/ using a PC. Moving tables, chairs, and presentation equipment. Occasionally, long hours standing when managing large statewide associated events. Travel required.

Job Summary

The East CO SBDC & UNC BizHub Program Coordinator is a dual functioning position, split between office management and event coordination. The Program Coordinator is responsible for maintaining office records and data preparation. As such, the Program Coordinator often acts as a liaison between the center and MCB. Typical task include daily reporting, preparation of documentation and meetings, and data entry.

The Program Coordinator also produces events from conception through to completion. This includes managing, coordinating, and possibly facilitating and presenting workshops and seminars for the center. The Program Coordinator responsibilities include providing outstanding customer service and organizing memorable events that meet quality expectations for SBDC.

Minimum Qualifications

● Basic Microsoft Office Suite application and understanding
● Social Media Management knowledge
● Strong verbal and written skills
● Prioritize, organize, and focus on several projects simultaneously
● Self-motivated and deadline-conscious.

Preferred Qualifications

● Prior event coordination experience
● Prior experience working with small businesses
● Copywriting experience
● Spanish proficiency
● Bachelor’s Degree

Salary and Benefits

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Benefits available include health, dental, life and long-term disability insurance, as well as a selection of several defined contribution retirement programs. Dependents and spouses of UNC Employees who are employed as 0.5 FTE or above are entitled to and eligible for Dependent Tuition Grants. These tuition grants will cover in-state tuition charges. Further requirements may exist. Other benefits may be available based on position.

Additional Requirements

Satisfactory completion of a background check, educational check, and authorization to work in the United States is required after a conditional offer of employment has been made. The successful candidate must submit original transcripts within one (1) month of hire.
