Job Summary

The Department of Economics at the University of Northern Colorado invites applications for a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor position beginning August 2018. We seek candidates who enjoy teaching principles courses and upper division theory and elective courses for undergraduates. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching and research interests in entrepreneurship and/or behavioral economics.

Minimum Qualifications

ABD in Economics
• Demonstrated record or potential in teaching principles courses and/or upper division theory and elective courses for undergraduates.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ph. D. in Economics
• Demonstrated record or potential in teaching principles courses and/or upper division theory and elective courses for undergraduates.
• Demonstrated record or potential in teaching entrepreneurship.
• Demonstrated record or potential in teaching behavioral economics.
• Demonstrated record or interest in developing a research agenda related to entrepreneurship and/or behavioral economics.

Ph.D. in economics by August 2018 is preferred.

Salary and Benefits

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Benefits available include health, dental, life and long-term disability insurance, as well as a selection of several defined contribution retirement programs. Dependents and spouses of UNC Employees who are employed as 0.5 FTE or above are entitled to and eligible for Dependent Tuition Grants. These tuition grants will cover in-state tuition charges. Further requirements may exist. Other benefits may be available based on position.

Additional Requirements

Satisfactory completion of a background check, educational check, and authorization to work in the United States is required after a conditional offer of employment has been made. The successful candidate must submit original transcripts within one (1) month of hire.
